how do you modify the top cover if your line set is already installed? Do you suggest cutting it anywhere?

All pieces in this kit except for the flexible tube piece can be unscrewed and opened length-wise. If you need to use the flexible piece near the connections to the outdoor unit, you can cut it open on one side, attach, and hot-glue it back closed.

How can I install wall cap on existing line?

You would need to make a small cut on the thin lip of the underside piece so that it can be placed around the line. This can then be glued or epoxied back.

I am in the preliminary stages of replacing an old central unit. I notice that you now have ceiling units for split units as well as other types. Since I have a roomy attic, a ceiling type could be what I would want. I will be setting up for a small home, 3 BR, dining, LR and two baths. Less than 2000 sq feet I think. Attic is over all spaces. Would like to know how ceiling units woud operate as compared to a small wall mount unit I now have in another building. Main concern would be about independent operations of the ceiling items per room.

We have 3 types of ceiling units: the cassettes (which go into drop ceiling), the ducted concealed (which go in the attic), or the flexible mount (which go flush against the ceiling or floor).They would operate independently and connect independently to the condenser (if going with a multi-zone configuration). For 2,000 square feet, you would be looking at roughly 48,000 - 60,000 BTUs to manage it all.

Will I be able to run lines for two units in one cover kit? Or do I need a kit for each head unit? Thanks Jeff

If they are 9K or 12K BTU, you should be able to fit two sets in there. If not, then it would need one per set of lines. We will introduce a newer and wider line cover kit in the next month.

I have a fujisu halcyon mini split will it work for that system also...

This will work on all 9,000 and 12,000 BTU units and most 18,000 BTU ones.

Does the wall cap come in two pieces allowing the cap to be installed on existing systems?

Almost. You would need to make a very slight cut on the piece to open it over existing lines. The flexible accordion tube also requires cutting. The rest can be installed over existing lines.

This would be the only color available however it can be painted to the desired color.

If you get the wide 4" version, then you can put two small linesets inside (18000 BTU or lower).
